Bring It to the Table returns with a gloriously loose, music‑led journey around the world — this time via roads, streets and avenues. From Woking to Brixton, Liverpool to Laurel Canyon, and all the way down Route 66, Matt, Will and a very not‑so‑silent guest spin songs inspired by real places and see where the conversation takes them.
Along the way there are musical detours, half‑remembered facts, roadside trivia, listener messages, mild chaos, and plenty of laughter, featuring artists including Paul Weller, Eddy Grant, The Beatles, The Doors, ZZ Top, Simon & Garfunkel and more.
It’s an hour of music, memories and meandering chat — live radio at its most human. Buckle up and bring it to the table.

Water

This week on Bring It to the Table, Matt and Will pull up chairs, pour themselves a glass of council pop, and bring water to the table in all its forms – the sensible, the scientific, the seaside, and the very silly.
Starting with foggy North Norfolk coastlines and drifting through cromer, Sheringham and beyond, the conversation ebbs and flows through sea frets, swimming memories, baths, taps, tea, hot tubs, estuaries, ice, clouds and the great mysteries of why water noises make everyone need the loo. Along the way there are surprising facts about how much of us is actually water, where the world’s fresh water really lives, and what happens when salt water meets fresh (answers may be slightly… improvised).
As ever, the facts are only part of it. Expect gentle chaos, sideways thinking, listener messages, nostalgic tangents, accidental philosophy and the occasional detour into spies on Hampstead Heath, pirates by the seaside, French baths and the dangers of squeezing tea bags with your forethumb.
The music selection stays firmly on theme, with water‑linked tracks spinning on seven‑inch vinyl from The Kinks, PJ Harvey, Kate & Anna McGarrigle, Ice Cube, The Vapors, The Rolling Stones and more, each one opening another conversational tributary.
Recorded live on Popyland Radio, this episode captures the rambling joy of two friends following a single word wherever it happens to flow. Whether you live by the sea, dream of a deeper bath, or are just here for the watery sounds and nonsense, there’s something to dip into.
So pull on your wellies, mind the splash, and join Matt and Will as they talk water to within an inch of its life.
